Divers resume search for cocaine off Co Cork coast

Naval divers have resumed a search off West Cork in a bid to locate any additional packets of cocaine that were not picked up following last week's failed drugs landing near Mizen head.

Sixty-one bales of cocaine - worth more than €100m - were seized immediately after the incident, however rough seas have prevented further searches.

The divers are concentrating on an area in Dunlough Bay.

The Revenue Commissioners are said to be considering offering a reward to anyone who finds any more bales.

Officers believe that there could be up to €70m worth of the drugs may still be unaccounted for after the seizures earlier this week.
