'Up to eight' people on run after Cork cocaine seizure
Up to eight people who were involved in last week's record drugs haul in West Cork may still be on the run, according to gardaí.
They believe the men may have escaped from the Mizen Head area in a stolen car two days after the seizure.
Detectives are tracking up to eight fugitives who they suspect escaped as cocaine worth more than €100m was being fished out of the sea at Dunlough Bay.
It is thought that the group may have broken into a holiday home in the Mizen Head area before stealing a car for their getaway.
Yesterday, a 22-year-old English man appeared in court in connection with the incident. He was remanded in custody to appear again next week.
