Gardaí arrest two more in massive cocaine seizure

Gardaí have arrested another two men in connection with this week's massive cocaine seizure off the coast of Co Cork.

The pair were detained in the Schull area this morning.

Gardaí are now holding three men in connection with the seizure of around 1.5 tonnes of cocaine, while another man remains under armed guard at Bantry Hospital.

The drugs, which were worth at least €100m, were found floating in the sea after the boat being used to bring them ashore capsized in poor conditions on Monday morning.

They are believed to have been dropped off by another vessel.
