US police investigate death of Irish family

US investigations are continuing into the deaths of an Irish man and his two daughters in the United States.

Police in New Jersey discovered their bodies at a house in a small town near Newark.

The father, identified as Thomas Reilly who's originally from Co Cavan was found along with his five and six year old daughters Kelly and Megan.

The man reportedly drowned his children in a bathtub before hanging himself.

No-one else is being sought in relation to the incident.
