Murder accused has previous conviction, court hears

A 19-year-old Dublin man who died from a fatal stabbing after hitting another man over the head with a bottle had a previous conviction for assault, a jury in the Central Criminal Court has heard.

Gary Gleeson (aged 23) of Lisryan, Granard, Co Longford denies the murder of Gavin "Sponge" Weldon on the evening of July 5, 2005.
