Green stance on Shannon 'will not harm US-Irish relations'

The US Ambassador to Ireland has said he is looking forward to working with the new Government.

Tom Foley was questioned today about the Green Party's opposition to the use of Shannon Airport by the US military.

He said he did not think it would damage the relationship between Ireland and America, adding that the US government agrees with many of the Greens' environmental policies.
