Major flooding creates havoc in Down

Heavy rains have caused more major flooding in the North today just days after Stormont ministers approved a £5m (€7.4m) fund for those affected by the rains earlier this week.

Co Down appears to be worst affected area this morning, with roads submerged in Bangor, Newtownards, Comber and the Ards Peninsula.

The rail line between Cultra and Seahill has also been temporarily closed.

On Tuesday, parts of Belfast, Omagh and others areas suffered major floods after a month's worth of rain fell in just one day.
