Ireland's largest outdoor food fest opens in Dublin later today.

Taste Of Dublin is a four-day celebration of fine food and drink, featuring 23 of the capital's most prestigious restaurants.

Celebrated chefs will be serving sample-sized signature dishes, with famous faces expected to include Jean Christophe Novelli, Richard Corrigan, Antony Worrall Thompson, Angela Hartnett, Rachel Allen, Derry Clarke and many more.

The very best in speciality food and drink companies will also showcase their products, alongside the country's most outstanding restaurants.

Up to 30,000 culinary fans are due to visit the event, in the idyllic surroundings of Iveagh Gardens, off Harcourt Street.

The festival opens from noon to 5pm and 5.30pm to 9.30pm until Sunday.
