Three men injured in Cavan stabbing incident
Three men have been hospitalised after a stabbing in Cavan town last night.
The victims, who are in their late thirties and early 40s and believed to be Polish nationals, were attacked between 3am and 3.30 this morning.
It happened in the Ardkeen-Aughnaskerry area of the town.
They were taken to Cavan General Hospital with serious stab wounds, and one was later transferred to St James's Hospital in Dublin, where his condition is described as critical.
Gardaí in Cavan have appealed for witnesses to the incident, and are also asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them.
