An Irish priest is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down in Rome two days ago.

An Irish priest is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down in Rome two days ago.

Fr Adrian Farrelly, from Ardee in Co Louth, suffered head injuries in the accident on Wednesday.

Fr Farrelly is a member of the Dominican Order and was in the city to celebrate the canonisation of St Charles of Mount Argus on Sunday.
