40,000 expected at Women's Mini-Marathon in Dublin
Up to 40,000 women are expected to take part in the Flora Women's Mini Marathon, which gets underway in Dublin at 3pm.
The 10km race is the biggest all-women event of its kind in the world.
The Cork city marathon also takes place today - the first in the city since 1986.
Motorists have been advised that there will be road closures along the route of both marathons and diversions will be in place until around 6.30pm.
In Dublin, the runners will travel from Fitzwilliam Square, to Merrion Square, Lower Mount St, Northumberland Rd into Ballsbridge, then onto Merrion Rd, Nutley Lane, the Stillorgan Rd into Donnybrook, finishing in St Stephen's Green.
