Crates of meat stolen in Meath

Crates of pre-packed fresh meat were stolen from a van in Co Meath, Garda said today.

The theft occurred at Alexandereid, Navan, Co Meath.

“The owner parked the van outside his house at 10.30pm last night but when he checked it at 8am he discovered the contents were missing,” a Garda spokesman said.

The stolen property included Greenpak Bacon and McCarney’s Cooked Ham as well as Olhausen and Farney Food products.

“Anyone offered such products for sale should contact Gardai at Navan,” added the Garda spokesman.
