The Department of Finance has reportedly begun work to draft new legislation implementing Fianna Fáil's election proposals on stamp duty.

Reports this morning say Minister for Finance Brian Cowen has ordered officials in the department to begin preparing to implement the proposals as soon as the next Dáil is convened.
