Residents return to homes after huge fire in Co Down
Hundreds of residents have returned to their homes in Co Down after being evacuated on Saturday night due to a massive fire.
The blaze happened at a garage workshop in the village of Millisle.
A number of gas cylinders were under threat from the flames, prompting fears of a huge explosion, so the authorities set up an exclusion zone and evacuated residents to a nearby church hall.
Fire-fighters spent most of yesterday cooling the gas cylinders down before finally allowing the villagers to return to their homes last night.
