Tony Gregory predicts Labour to 'sell-out' to FF

Tony Gregory is predicting that the Labour party will "sell out" and go into coalition with Fianna Fáil.

The Dublin Central Independent said the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern will go for the ultimate stability with Labour over a coalition with independents and PDs.

He said today that Fianna Fáil has everything to gain from a coalition with Labour and Bertie Ahern will have no trouble convincing them to come on board.

"The nature of the Taoiseach is that he goes for the ultimate stability and he knows the damage that he would do to the Labour Party if he got them to coalesce with them, so there's everything to gain for Fianna Fail by bringing Labour on board at this stage," he mused.

General Secretary of Fianna Fáil Sean Dorgan said Fianna Fáil is considering its options as to who it will form the next government with.

He said the Taoiseach wouldn't rush in to making a decision, while the Taoiseach himself has remained tight-lipped about his preferences.
