FF's Brady concedes in Dublin North-East

Fianna Fáil's Martin Brady has conceded defeat in the three-seat Dublin North-East constituency.

Fianna Fáil's Martin Brady has conceded defeat in the three-seat Dublin North-East constituency.

With the quota at 8,720, Fine Gael's Terence Flanagan is in poll position on 7,701 votes ahead of Fianna Fáil's Michael Woods on 7,588 votes.

Mr Brady is next on 7,395 votes while Labour's Tommy Broughan has 6,909 votes.

The only candidate left is Sinn Féin's Larry O'Toole on 5,089 votes.

It means that Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Labour have got one seat each in the constituency.

State of the parties: Fianna Fáil: 73; Fine Gael: 46; Labour: 18; Progressive Democrats: 1; Green Party: 5; Sinn Féin: 3; Independents: 5.
