Workers at Conor Medsystems were given paid-leave two weeks ago when the product that the company manufactures was pulled from the market due to patent difficulties.

This morning, workers were told that there will now be a 30-day consultation period to discuss the future of the plant.

A spokesperson says there will be minimal work taking place at the facility for the duration of this period.
