Dodds expresses support for all-Ireland gas market

The North's Economy Minister has said he is favourably disposed towards a single gas market on the island of Ireland.

An all-Ireland electricity market is due to come into effect in November and there are calls for similar arrangements to be made in relation to gas.

DUP minister Nigel Dodds has described it as a common-sense measure that makes sense for people on both sides of the border.

He has told the Assembly's Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee that he would consider any arrangement that benefited people North and South.
