Labour promises to help people get on property ladder

The Labour Party is promising three new options to help buy their first home if it forms part of the Government after the forthcoming election.

The first scheme would see local authorities buying a share of up to 75% in a house and then allowing the householder the option to buy out the share over a period of time.
