SF says it has nothing to hide over Joseph Rafferty murder

Sinn Féin has insisted that it has nothing to hide in relation to the murder of a 29-year-old man in west Dublin two years ago.

Joseph Rafferty was shot dead outside his apartment in the Ongar area in April 2005, allegedly by a man connected to the IRA.

His sister, Esther Uzell, has launched a high-profile campaign accusing Sinn Féin of failing to co-operate with the investigation into his death and of intimidating those seeking justice.

However, Sinn Féin TD Arthur Morgan rejected the accusation today and insisted that there was no republican involvement in the crime or in any form of intimidation.
