Nurses protest at launch of health policy by PDs
Nurses mounted a protest outside the launch of the Progressive Democrats' health policy following today's work-to-rule at hospitals around the country.
It followed an escalation of the row between unions and health employers, with the HSE threatening to dock nurses' wages because of the cost of their industrial action.
The Minister for Health says she agrees with the HSE, as these strikes are costing €2m a week.
Mary Harney faced heckling from a group of nurses on the street, who demanded that she stop and answer their questions.
