Three arrested following drugs haul in Co Kildare

Three people have been arrested in connection with a drugs seizure in Co Kildare last night.

Shortly after 10am, members of the Newbridge Garda Drug Unit stopped and searched a car at the Curragh as part of an ongoing operation.

Cocaine and cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €40,000 was seized.

Two men and a woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Newbridge Garda station.

All three are being detained under Section Two of the Drug Trafficking Act and can be held for up to seven days.
