Woman dies as car overturns in Limerick city crash

A woman has died following a road accident this morning in Limerick city.

The woman is understood to have been travelling in a car that overturned between the Kilmallock and Bawnmore flyovers just before 8am.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

All traffic from the Dublin Road is being diverted at the Anacotty roundabout into the city centre.

Meanwhile, the N11 in Co Wicklow has been closed at the Ballinameesda bends following a serious accident this morning.

The crash happened between the Beehive and the Taps pubs, but it is unclear if anyone has been hurt.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
