Second bomb made safe in Tyrone village

Police in the North says innocent lives were put at risk by the people who planted two explosive devices in the Co Tyrone village of Sion Mills during the weekend.

The second device was found last night outside the home of a former member of the Strabane District Policing Partnership

Bomb disposal experts were called in to defuse the bomb, which was similar to one found in Sion Mills on Sunday.

Dissident republicans are being blamed for both incidents.

The PSNI says the lives of adults and children had been put at risk by those who planted the devices in densely populated areas.
