Woman rescued after Croagh Patrick fall

A woman is today recovering at Mayo General Hospital after being injured in a fall on Croagh Patrick last night.

The Cork woman, who is in her 50s, suffered back and arm injuries after falling while climbing the mountain with her daughter yesterday evening.

Local mountain rescue teams stretchered the woman from close to the summit down to the base of Croagh Patrick last night.
