State saves €375m in crackdown on benefit fraud

The State saved €375m last year in a crackdown on bogus unemployment, illness and one-parent family benefit claims.

According to Department of Social Welfare figures, almost one in ten employers inspected last year were failing to pay their share of employee PRSI contribution.
