A man was shot and injured in north Dublin last night, gardaí said today.

A man was shot and injured in north Dublin last night, gardaí said today.

The man, 20, was shot in Marigold Crescent, Darndale at 11.55pm.

A Garda spokesman added: “The injured man ran to a nearby house seeking assistance and emergency services were called."

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where his injuries are described as non life-threatening.

Coolock gardaí have sealed off the scene for technical examination and investigations are continuing.
