Minister defends decision to scrap cut in tribunal fees

Environment Minister Dick Roche has defended the Government's decision to shelve its plans to cut the fees paid to lawyers at the Mahon Tribunal.

The reduced fees were due to come into force on March 31, the original date at which the tribunal was expected to end public hearings.
