M7 pile-up claims fatality

A woman who was critically injured in yesterday's traffic chaos on the M7 motorway in Co Kildare has died at Naas General Hospital overnight.

The woman was among more than 30 people injured in a series of pile-ups on the motorway during heavy fog yesterday morning.

Dozens of vehicles were involved in the crashes, which caused massive tailbacks on both the M7 and the M9.
