Edward Kennedy to be briefed on peace process

US Senator Edward Kennedy is to be briefed on the current situation in the Northern peace process later today.

He is meeting the Taoiseach in Washington this afternoon.

He will also meet Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness and the Northern Secretary Peter Hain.

Catherine and Paula McCartney, sisters of murdered Belfast man Robert McCartney, are also due to hold talks with the senator.
