Dublin man found in laneway remains unconscious in hospital

A man who was found in a laneway in Blanchardstown, West Dublin on Thursday with a serious head injury remains in an unconscious state in hospital.

Gardaí do not know what caused the man's injuries and they would like anyone who used Old Corduff Lane, which is off the Main Street in Blanchardstown, between 3 and 4 pm to come forward.

In particular gardaí want to speak to a man, around 35 years of age with red hair and a beard and a woman in her mid-twenties, believed to be Eastern European with short blonde hair.

It is believed that they were in the vicinity when the emergency services arrived.
