Voting in the Northern Assembly election has closed, with many of the parties predicting a higher turnout than four years ago.

Voting in the Northern Assembly election has closed, with many of the parties predicting a higher turnout than four years ago.

Across the North's 18 constituencies, unionist, nationalist and cross-community parties were reporting turnouts of between 55 and 60% and in some cases they were as high as 70%.
