Fears grow for 600 jobs at Procter and Gamble in Nenagh
Fears are growing for the future of almost 600 jobs at the Procter and Gamble plant in Co Tipperary.
Employees of the US multinational in Nenagh were told to take the day off today and to attend a meeting at 10am tomorrow morning.
The company announced that it was undertaking a review of its global operations in January and a decision on the closure of one of its plants was due this month.
Local politicians say they hope at least some of the jobs can be saved, but have no further information on the situation ahead of tomorrow's meeting.
