Woman's body found in lane in Longford

Gardaí in Longford are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in the town.

The body was found in a laneway off Kilashee Street early this morning.

The area has been sealed off and members of the Garda Technical Bureau are due at the scene this afternoon.

The State Pathologist's office has been notified and a post mortem will be carried out later today.
