McDowell to unveil plan for transparency in legal fees

Minister for Justice Michael McDowell is due to publish proposals today aimed at introducing more transparency in the fees charged by solicitors and barristers.

The measures have been drawn up on foot of recommendations from a special group appointed to examine the issue amid concerns about the high fees charged for legal services.
