Stardust survivor to seek Dáil seat in Dublin North Central
A woman who lost two sisters in the 1981 Stardust fire has announced her intention to run for the Dáil in the next general election.
Antoinette Keegan, who survived the St Valentine's Day nightclub blaze, is seeking a seat in Dublin North Central as part of a long-running campaign for a new inquiry into the disaster.
The Government has set up an independent examination to assess whether or not a new inquiry is warranted.
However, the Stardust Victims Committee, for which Ms Keegan is a spokesperson, has rejected the terms of reference for the examination, saying they are too restrictive.
