Two detained in Monaghan drugs arrest

Two men in their 20s have been arrested following a drugs investigation along the border as part of a crackdown in the area.

They were detained after Garda searches around the Monaghan town area.

The operation followed the discovery of a quantity of cannabis in a car stopped in Ballybay.

Earlier, €10,000 worth of ecstasy tablets were discovered in Monaghan town.

The men were later released and a file is being sent to the DPP.
