Greens: Package for children key to election manifesto

The leader of the Green Party Trevor Sargent has said that a major package for children will be a key plank of his manifesto in the run-in to the General Election.

The party, which is holding its national conference in Galway this weekend, has been buoyed up by its 8% popularity rating in the most recent Irish Times/MRBI opinion poll.
