€1bn investment for Galway’s transport system

A total of €1bn is to be invested in Galway's transport system, it was revealed this afternoon.

CIE is to carry out major redevelopment at Ceannt Station.

A series of changes to rail and bus services are planned under the Transport 21 plan, including the opening of the Western Rail Corridor, the provision of Galway commuter rail services, and new bus services.
