SIPTU wins case for temporary workers

The Labour Court has reached a decision that could have major implications for public sector workers around the country.

Following a case taken by SIPTU on behalf of 90 long-term temporary employees in the Health Service Executive - West area, the Labour Court has issued a directive that they must be offered permanent contracts.
