FF senator to lobby for end to compulsory retirement

Fianna Fáil Senator Mary White has said that the law on retirement needs to be changed.

The senator claimed that more people want to work beyond the age of 65.

Ms White plans to lobby her party to make the upper age for retirement optional instead of compulsory.

Senator White said she thinks retirement should be an agreed arrangement between employer and employee and not necessarily determined by law.
