Rate My Hospital: Temple St voted best A&E
Temple Street Children's Hospital A&E has been voted the best acute hospital in the country by patients and their relatives.
However the survey carried out on the Rate My Hospital website shows that the Mater Hospital, the site of the proposed new National Children's Hospital, is ranked bottom in terms of A&E facilities.
Well over 5,000 patients and relatives have taken part in the online poll of hospitals since it was launched last September.
The latest ratings up to the end of January have produced a new league table ranking only Ireland's acute hospitals, including maternity and children's hospitals.
After Dublin's Temple Street Hospital in first place, Mallow Hospital in Cork and Saint John's in Limerick are rated second and third best in relation to their A&E facilities.
Propping up the rear with the Mater Hospital is Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The website also publishes an overall league table of all hospitals - this month St Luke's Cancer Hospital in Rathgar once again tops this list.
