Five teenagers arrested in North following assault

In the North, five youths in their late teens have been arrested following a serious assault on a 17-year-old boy.

It is understood the attack happened at 12.45am in the Primrose Hill area of Belfast.

The boy was taken to the Royal Victory Hospital in the city following the incident with serious injuries.

Police are trying to establish a motive for the attack.
