Shorts factory to lay-off 160 Belfast workers next month

The Shorts aerospace factory in Belfast has announced that plans to compulsorily lay-off 160 workers next month.

The company says another 120 workers will also be forced to leave their jobs before the end of the year after it failed to reach a voluntary redundancy target announced last year.
