Fáilte Ireland staff mount pickets over relocation plans

Fáilte Ireland workers are picketing the company's premises in Dublin today as part of a dispute over relocation plans.

The agency's management want workers to relocate from Pembroke Row to Amiens Street.

However, the employees are unhappy with the move and have mounted pickets outside both premises today.

SIPTU says the dispute is regrettable, but staff have been left with no choice due to the attitude adopted by management.

Fáilte Ireland, however, says the action is being taken by a minority of employees and a number of staff have already made the move without any problems.

It also says the Labour Court has backed the relocation and every effort has been made to address the concerns of the affected workers.
