Gardaí made two separate drug seizures in Dublin tonight worth more than €6m.

In a planned search of a house in Tallaght, officers found 26kgs of heroin worth €5.2m.

Two men aged 22 and 29, and a 20-year-old woman were arrested during the operation in Colberts Fort Road.

All three are being questioned at Tallaght Garda Station under Section Two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

The search was carried out by members of the Tallaght District Drugs Unit.

In a second operation, gardaí from the National Drugs Unit and the Clontarf Drugs Unit seized 180 kilos of cannabis resin at a residence at Clontarf Bay, Clontarf.

The seizure is thought to have a street value of €1.4m.

Three men was arrested at the scene. One man is being held at Raheny Garda Station and two are being held at Clontarf Garda Station.

They are being detained under the provisions of Section Two, Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

All six arrested can be held for up to seven days.
