Dáil committee to begin hearings into Broadcasting Bill

The Oireachtas Communications Committee is due to begin public hearings today on the new Broadcasting Bill being proposed by the Government.

The bill paves the way for the establishment of a Broadcasting Authority which would examine the future of the TV licence and a right-of-reply system for people who feel they have been wronged on air.
