Foot-and-mouth tests for the North

Pig samples from an abattoir in the North are being tested for foot-and-mouth disease, the chief veterinary officer said tonight.

Foot lesions were detected this morning at the Co Antrim facility and samples were sent for testing at the Institute for Animal Health.
