Man charged with attempted murder after Antrim attack

In the North a 37-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an attack in Larne, Co Antrim.

In what the PSNI have described as a "domestic type incident", a 30-year-old woman was stabbed.

It happened at around 4am yesterday morning.

She was treated for her injuries in hospital and has now been discharged.

The man is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court tomorrow.
