Man arrested in connection with hotel worker stabbing

A 32-year-old man was arrested last night in connection with the stabbing of a hotel worker in Ennis, Co Clare.

The Filipina female member of staff, aged 29, was taken to Ennis General Hospital with serious injuries after the attack. Her condition has been described as not life-threatening, though it is believed she was scheduled for emergency surgery.
